Genesis Emerging Markets Fund is a closed ended equity mutual fund launched by Genesis Asset Managers, LLP. The fund is managed by Genesis Investment Management, LLP. It invests in the public equity markets of emerging countries across the globe. The fund invests in stocks of companies operating across diversified sectors. It invests in value stocks of companies. The fund employs fundamental analysis with bottom-up stock picking approach focusing on factors such as emerging market growth opportunities and companies which are found to be trading at an attractive discount to their assessed intrinsic value, Structural Changes, Change at the Corporate Level and Stock market Inefficiencies to create its portfolio. It seeks to benchmark the performance of its portfolio against the MSCI World Total Return Index and MSCI EM (TR) Index. The fund conducts in-house research to make its investments.
