The annual view is always forward viewing with the latest dividend data available. The yearly view is with the actual data that was reported for the given year and historic values.

In the beginning of a new year, those two views will often look the same, that changes gradually in the course of the year.

💡
Example:
You have 10 shares of AAPL and the year is 2022. AAPL is paying the following dividend in 2022: Q1 0.22$, Q2 0.23$, Q3 0.23$ and Q4 0.23$.

The view for 2022 will now use the correct reported and historic values for the given year. This will result in a total dividend for 2022 of 0.91$.

The annual view will use the latest dividend information and calculate your actual current dividend income. This will result in 0.92$ for the annual view.
