Price alerts notify you when a stock's price moves above or below your chosen target. You can create as many price alerts as you want, including multiple alerts for the same stock.
Create and view alerts on a stock's detail page, or manage your active alerts across stocks under Profile → Settings → Data → Price Alerts.
To view existing alerts for that stock, scroll to Your Alerts on its detail page. Select an alert to open its settings. The section appears when the stock has active alerts.
The bell-plus icon is not available for custom assets or custom accounts.
Enter Target Price in the currency shown in the editor.
The -10%, -5%, 0%, +5%, and +10% shortcuts calculate a target from the stock price loaded when you opened the editor. For example, if that price is $100, selecting -5% sets the target to $95, and selecting +5% sets it to $105.
These shortcuts set a fixed price. The saved target does not move automatically when the stock price changes.
Stock Events chooses the alert direction when you save:
In the $100 example, the $95 alert triggers when the price is below $95, and the $105 alert triggers when it is above $105. A price exactly equal to the target does not trigger the alert. The 0% shortcut uses the loaded price and watches for a move above it.
When enough price history is available, the editor shows a historical price chart with a line marking your target. The target line updates as you change the value.
Stock Events evaluates alerts as it receives price updates. Notification timing depends on those updates and delivery, so Once a Day does not mean a notification at a fixed time.
Push and Email are separate switches for each alert. You can use either channel or both. New alerts have Push enabled and Email disabled. Keep at least one channel enabled to receive a notification.
To review your email setup:
After choosing the target, frequency, and notification channels in the alert editor, select Save.
This page shows your active alerts across stocks, independently of the portfolio currently selected. Pull down on the list to refresh it.
Each alert shows its target price and an arrow indicating whether it watches for a move above or below that target. A repeat icon identifies a Once a Day alert. The percentage on the right shows the distance from the current stock price to the target.
To edit an alert, select it here or under Your Alerts on the stock page. Change the Target Price, frequency, Push, or Email settings, then select Save. Saving recalculates the direction using the stock price loaded when you opened the editor.
To delete an alert:
If no active alerts remain, the page shows No price alerts set yet. Completed One Time alerts are no longer listed. To create a new alert, return to the stock's detail page and select the bell-plus icon.
