The Bridgeway Blue Chip Fund strives to generate significant long-term total returns, primarily through capital appreciation alongside some income. It accomplishes this by investing in well-established "blue-chip" corporations, diligently minimizing both capital gains distributions and operational expenses. The income component of the fund is almost exclusively derived from dividends paid by the underlying companies within its portfolio. Typically, at least 80% of its net assets are allocated to these blue-chip equities, as assessed at the time of acquisition. The Adviser employs a systematic, statistical framework to select stocks from the blue-chip universe, with market capitalization serving as the primary selection criterion.
