In addition to its core gas distribution, China Gas constructs and runs compressed natural gas (CNG) and liquefied natural gas (LNG) refueling stations and engages in the development of natural gas and LPG technologies. Its business scope extends to petrochemical investments in storage and transport facilities, the production and storage of LPG and chemical products like propane and butane, as well as involvement in coal bed methane (CBM) exploration and production. The company provides a diverse range of services, including treasury, management, consultancy, and procurement, alongside gas station administration. It offers smart home products, gas insurance brokerage services, and sells gas heaters and kitchen appliances under the Gasbo brand. Furthermore, China Gas invests in and develops clean energy solutions, engages in the wholesale and trading of natural gas and LNG, and sells electricity. It supplies various gas-related items such as meters, pressure regulators, corrugated pipes, gas alarms, and bottled gas. The company also handles the wholesale and retail of household, electric, and kitchen appliances. As of March 31, 2022, China Gas Holdings served an extensive customer base of 43,095,245 residential, 19,808 industrial, and 297,664 commercial clients, while also operating 533 CNG/LNG refilling stations.
