Nvidia stopped testing whether it could manufacture its high-end chips using Intel's 18A production technology, after previously evaluating the advanced process. Intel stated its 18A manufacturing technologies are progressing well. This follows a September collaboration where Intel agreed to develop custom x86 CPUs for Nvidia's AI infrastructure and system-on-chips integrating Nvidia RTX GPU chiplets, with Nvidia committing to a $5 billion investment in Intel stock at $23.28 per share pending regulatory approvals.
