The language setting controls the language Stock Events uses inside the app. It is an app-specific preference that is separate from your device language, selected country, and portfolio currencies.
To change it, open your Profile, select Settings, then select Language & Appearance and Language.
How to change your language
- Open your Profile.
- Select Settings.
- Select Language & Appearance.
- Select Language.
- Select a language from the list.
- Your choice saves immediately. You return to Language & Appearance, and the app updates without a restart.
Each language appears in its own name, with its name in the currently selected language shown underneath.
What the language setting affects
- App interface: Navigation, menus, settings, buttons, built-in explanations, and system messages use the selected language where translations are available.
- Formatting: Dates, month names, numbers, percentages, and other locale-sensitive values use formatting for the selected language.
- Stock Events content: Supported translated content and labels, such as sectors, regions, and security types, use the selected language where available.
- Messages: Supported Stock Events notifications and account messages use the selected language where translations are available.
- Layout direction: The app adjusts its layout for supported right-to-left languages.
What it does not change
- Your selected Country, regional search priorities, or exchange selection.
- Your Holdings and Dividends display currencies.
- Your existing holdings, transactions, watchlists, or other portfolio data.
- Your device's system language.
- User-created or third-party content. Company names, ticker symbols, news, and other source material may remain in their original language.
