Transactions shows the transaction records stored across all active portfolios and watchlists in your Stock Events account. It can include buy, sell, cash, and dividend entries.
The account-wide history is available in the app and on the web under Settings, Data, then Transactions. It does not change when you switch the selected portfolio or watchlist.
View transaction history in the app
- Open Profile.
- Select the settings icon in the top-right corner, or select Settings on your profile.
- Select Data.
- Select Transactions.
View transaction history on the web
- Select your profile avatar in the top-right corner.
- Select Settings.
- Select Data.
- Select Transactions.
Understand your transaction history
- Transaction type: Buy and sell rows show the stock, ETF, or option symbol. Cash and dividend entries use their corresponding transaction labels.
- Date: The transaction date is shown by default. When sorting by change date, the row shows when the transaction was last changed.
- Amounts: Share or contract transactions show the quantity, recorded price, and total amount.
- Fees and notes: Saved fees and notes appear on the row when they are available.
In the app, select a row to open Transaction Details. On the web, the account-wide list is a history view and its rows do not open a details screen.
The web shows the first 50 transactions. Select Load more to continue through older entries. If the account has no saved transaction records, the page shows No transactions.
Sort your transaction history
- On Transactions, select the sort icon in the top-right corner.
- Select Sort by transaction date to order entries by their recorded transaction date.
- Select Sort by change date to order entries by when they were last changed.
The newest date appears first. Sorting changes only the displayed order and does not modify any transaction.
View transactions for one stock or ETF
The account-wide Transactions page is not filtered by the currently selected portfolio or watchlist. Use the position screen when you want to review one asset in one portfolio.
In the app
- Select the portfolio or watchlist you want to review.
- Open the stock or ETF.
- Select the large position button that shows your current share count or Enter Your Shares.
- If the position uses Transactions mode, scroll through its transaction list.
On the web
- Select the portfolio or watchlist you want to review.
- Open the stock or ETF.
- Select Edit Holdings.
- If the position uses Transactions mode, review the transaction list in the position window.
These position views include only the selected stock or ETF in the selected portfolio or watchlist. Simple mode saves current position values instead of displaying an itemized transaction list.
