This fund primarily allocates its capital, dedicating a minimum of 80% of its total assets (inclusive of any borrowed funds for investment purposes), to the equity shares of companies operating within developing economies. While its core focus is emerging markets, the fund retains the flexibility to invest up to 20% of its net assets in securities issued by companies in more established, developed nations. Additionally, its investment strategy permits holdings in smaller and mid-capitalization firms, as well as businesses that are less established or have a more recent operational track record.
