The company operates cruise and commercial port facilities; biomass power plants with an installed capacity of 29.2 MW; and solar power plants with 16.8 MWp installed capacity, as well as co/tri-generation with 54.1 MW of installed capacity. It is also involved in the compressed natural gas sales and distribution activities with 12 bulk CNG plants, 9 auto-CNG stations; and feldspar mining and production business. In addition, the company develops and operates shopping centers, offices, residences, hospitals, schools, hotels, and industrial lands. Further, it offers asset management services; and securities and derivatives trading and portfolio management services to international and Turkish corporate investors. Additionally, it engages in the insurance agency, publishing, storage, food management, ship management, and marine vehicle trade businesses; and construction, maritime, tourism, real estate, and financial investment businesses. The company was formerly known as Global Menkul Degerler A.S. and changed its name to Global Yatirim Holding Anonim Sirketi in October 2004. Global Yatirim Holding A.S. was founded in 1990 and is headquartered in Istanbul, Turkey.
