Touax SCA engages in the operational leasing, sale, and management of mobile standardized equipment worldwide. The company operates through Freight Railcars, River Barges, and Shipping Containers divisions. The company offers freight railcars, including intermodal wagons, car-carrier railcars, coil carrying railcars, sliding wall wagons, hopper cars, and powder railcars. It is also involved in the operational and financial leasing of barges; trading of barges and push tugs; fleet management; sale and lease back of river fleets; technical design and monitoring of construction; provision of advisory, assistance, and technical expertise related to river transport; and management of river transport certificates and administrative documents, as well as provides insurance products. It manufactures and sells modular constructions, industrialized buildings, and prefabricated elements. As of December 31, 2020, the company owned and managed a fleet of 2.7 million twenty-foot equivalent unit containers; a fleet of 99 river barges; and a fleet of approximately 11,309 freight railcars. Touax SCA was founded in 1853 and is headquartered in La Défense, France.
