This fund's main objective is to provide investors with a steady stream of income, with long-term capital appreciation as a secondary aim. Its portfolio is typically composed of various income-generating investments, such as dividend-paying common stocks and interest-bearing debt instruments like bonds. A substantial portion of the fund, generally at least 60% of its total assets, will be committed to common stocks and other equity-type securities. Furthermore, the fund has the flexibility to allocate up to 30% of its assets to equity securities issued by companies based outside the United States, including those in developing economies.
