Aurania Resources Ltd., a junior exploration mining company, engages in the identification, evaluation, acquisition, and exploration of mineral properties in Ecuador and France. The company explores for gold, silver, copper, zinc, lead, barium, and other precious metal deposits. Its flagship asset is the 100% owned Lost Cities " Cutucu project comprising 42 mineral exploration concessions covering an area of approximately 208,000 hectares located in southeastern Ecuador. The company was formerly known as Urania Resources Ltd. and changed its name to Aurania Resources Ltd. in March 2012. Aurania Resources Ltd. was founded in 2001 and is headquartered in Toronto, Canada.
