The primary objective of this fund is to deliver a substantial level of current income, with capital appreciation serving as a secondary goal. Its core strategy involves dedicating a minimum of 80% of its total assets to higher-yielding, typically lower-rated debt instruments. This encompasses bonds and other debt securities rated Ba1/BB+ or below, as well as unrated obligations deemed equivalent in quality by the fund's investment adviser, including corporate loans. Additionally, the fund may allocate a portion of its investments to securities linked to economies outside the U.S., including developing nations. It maintains flexibility to invest in debt securities of any maturity or duration.
