Under ordinary circumstances, this fund allocates a minimum of 80% of its total assets to a blend of common stocks and other equity-linked investments. These holdings are in both U.S.-based and international businesses. A critical condition for inclusion is that, at the time of initial purchase, these companies must exhibit market capitalizations equivalent to those found within the Russell Midcap Value Index – a group commonly referred to as "mid-cap companies." Additionally, all such investments must be publicly traded on an American securities market.
