Embpar Participacoes S.A., together with its subsidiaries, engages in trading heavy vehicles under the Scania brand. It offers trucks, buses, and accessories; and technical services through authorized dealers, as well as operates a service station across 246 municipalities in the State of Paraná. The company also engages in the manufacture and sale of pine lumber, woodchips, sawdust, and pine timber products for use in pallet components, furniture, and packing applications. It exports its wood products to approximately 50 countries in Central America, North America, Asia, and the Middle East. The company was formerly known as Battistella Administração e Participações S/A – APABA and it changed its name to Embpar Participacoes S.A. in April 2008. The company was founded in 1949 and is based in São José dos Pinhais, Brazil. Embpar Participacoes S.A. is a subsidiary of Aliança Battistella e Agropecuária e Administração de Bens S.A.
