Power Assets Holdings Limited is a global investment holding company primarily engaged in the generation, transmission, and distribution of electricity. Its operations span Hong Kong, the United Kingdom, Australia, and Mainland China, alongside other international markets. The company harnesses energy from a diverse mix of sources, including thermal, renewable, and waste-to-energy technologies. Beyond power, it also manages the transmission and distribution of oil and gas. Its portfolio further extends to property holdings, financial deposits, and the provision of consulting, investment, trust administration, and management services. Demonstrating significant operational scale, Power Assets boasts a total generation capacity that includes 1,064 MW from renewable energy and waste, 5,214 MW from gas-fired plants, and 3,815 MW from coal/oil-fired facilities. Furthermore, it oversees an extensive infrastructure comprising 114,200 km of gas and oil pipelines, along with a vast 402,500 km power network that delivers service to 19,344,000 customers. Established in 1889, the company originally operated as Hongkong Electric Holdings Limited before adopting its current name, Power Assets Holdings Limited, in February 2011. Its headquarters are located in Central, Hong Kong.
