Typically, it commits at least 80% of its investment capital—which encompasses both its net assets and any borrowed funds used for investment—to equity securities of U.S.-based companies. While its primary approach involves acquiring common shares of large and mid-capitalization American firms, the fund retains the flexibility to allocate up to 20% of its holdings to international company stocks, which can include instruments such as depositary receipts.
