LQID seeks enhanced income by combining short-term investment-grade bonds with an options-based yield overlay. Investments primarily consist of USD-denominated bonds, along with ETFs, MBS, ABS, derivatives, and other fixed-income securities issued by both US and foreign entities. To generate additional income, the fund writes short-term exchange-traded and OTC call and put options. These options are primarily written on fixed-income instruments such as bond ETFs, interest rate futures, swaps, and short-term rate products linked to benchmarks like US Treasuries and the federal funds rate. The typical maturities for these positions are under six months. The strategy also aims to manage capital gains distributions through low portfolio turnover and tax-loss harvesting. The fund holds cash, cash equivalents, or other short-term securities as collateral.
