American Funds Limited Term Tax-Exempt Bond Fund Class F-1 

This fund aims to generate ongoing income that is free from ordinary federal income tax, while also safeguarding initial investment capital, all within specific maturity and credit quality guidelines. To achieve these objectives, a minimum of 80% of its holdings, or 80% of its generated income, will originate from securities exempt from regular federal income tax and that do not impose the federal alternative minimum tax on shareholders. The fund predominantly allocates capital to fixed-income instruments rated A- or higher by Standard & Poor's, A3 or higher by Moody's, or those unrated but judged by the investment adviser to possess equivalent creditworthiness. The portfolio's dollar-weighted average effective maturity is maintained between three and ten years.
