A minimum of 80% of the fund's assets are typically allocated to the securities that comprise its target index. This benchmark aims to evaluate the returns generated by a diverse collection of debt instruments, spanning a wide spectrum of credit ratings and maturities. These include corporate debt, speculative-grade bonds (often termed "high yield" or "junk"), government treasury securities, municipal obligations, mortgage-backed assets, and convertible bonds. The inclusion of these various bond types seeks to provide comprehensive access to both the domestic and international fixed-income landscapes.
