Northern Dynasty Minerals Ltd. is an enterprise focused on prospecting for mineral deposits across the United States. The company's primary asset is the extensive Pebble project, an exploration site rich in copper, gold, molybdenum, silver, and rhenium. This significant property encompasses 1,840 mining claims, spanning roughly 274 square miles in southwestern Alaska. It lies just 17 miles from the communities of Iliamna and Newhalen, and approximately 200 miles southwest of Alaska's largest city, Anchorage. Initially established as Northern Dynasty Explorations Ltd., the company adopted its current name, Northern Dynasty Minerals Ltd., in October of 1997.
