Northland Power Inc. (NPI) is an independent power producer that actively develops, constructs, owns, and manages sustainable energy projects. Its operations span across four continents, encompassing North America, Europe, Latin America, and Asia. The company's diverse generation portfolio utilizes various sources, including renewable energies like wind, solar, and hydropower, complemented by clean-burning natural gas and biomass. Electricity generated from these facilities is primarily sold through long-term power purchase agreements (PPAs) and other commercial contracts. Currently, NPI holds ownership or an economic interest in 3.2 gigawatts of operational generating capacity. Established in 1987, the company maintains its headquarters in Toronto, Canada.
