HPQ Silicon Inc., along with its affiliated companies, provides advanced silica and silicon-based solutions within Canada. The firm is actively developing a portfolio of cutting-edge silicon products, primarily aimed at manufacturers in the rapidly expanding battery and electric vehicle industries. A core focus of their development efforts includes the PUREVAP™ Quartz Reduction Reactor (QRR) system, a proprietary process designed to efficiently convert quartz into silicon. Leveraging the output from the QRR, HPQ is also creating a subsequent process to transform this material into a variety of nano/micro spherical powders and nanowires. Additionally, the company is pioneering a plasma-based method for the direct conversion of quartz into fumed silica.
