The People's Insurance Company (Group) of China Limited, an investment holding company, provides insurance products and services in the People's Republic of China and Hong Kong. It operates through Property and Casualty Insurance, Life Insurance, Health Insurance, Asset Management, and Headquarters and Other segments. The company also provides motor vehicle, agricultural, accidental injury and health, liability, corporate property, and other insurances; life insurance products, including general, participating, and universal life; health, and accident insurance products; and health insurance products, such as medical, participating endowment, sickness, nursing, accidental injury, and disability income loss insurance products. In addition, it is involved in asset management and other business; reinsurance business; internet banking; and provision of research and development, transportation, and technology services. The company was founded in 1949 and is based in Beijing, the People's Republic of China.
