Under typical conditions, this fund primarily invests in debt instruments, allocating at least 80% of its net assets—including any borrowed funds used for investment—to these securities. The fund has broad flexibility regarding its debt investments, which can originate from both domestic and international markets, span any maturity period, and cover the entire range of credit quality. This includes higher-risk securities rated below investment grade (often called "junk bonds"), as well as unrated securities that the fund's investment advisor deems to have similar credit characteristics. It operates as a non-diversified fund.
