Southgobi Resources 

SouthGobi Resources Ltd., along with its subsidiaries, functions as a fully integrated coal enterprise, conducting exploration, development, and mining operations across Mongolia, Hong Kong, and China. The firm primarily concentrates on discovering and extracting deposits of coking and thermal coal. Its most significant asset is the Ovoot Tolgoi open-pit coal mine, situated in Mongolia's Umnugobi Aimag, and the company also holds stakes in the Zag Suuj and Soumber Projects. Beyond its core extraction activities, the enterprise is involved in the logistics and commercial trading of coal within Mongolia and China. Established in 2002, the company was initially named SouthGobi Energy Resources Ltd. before officially rebranding to SouthGobi Resources Ltd. in May 2010.
