Under ordinary market conditions, this fund commits at least 80% of its net assets, along with any borrowed capital for investment, to a wide-ranging selection of U.S. and international fixed-income securities. This portfolio includes bonds and other debt instruments possessing diverse maturity periods. Furthermore, the fund may employ other financial instruments to gain exposure to these debt markets, such as derivative contracts like forwards, options, futures agreements, or swaps.
