This investment vehicle is designed to achieve substantial overall growth until its predetermined retirement year. Once that date arrives, its primary goal shifts to generating significant current income, with capital appreciation becoming a secondary focus. The fund accomplishes this by investing in a diverse mix of other Fidelity-managed portfolios, including those focused on U.S. stocks, international stocks, bonds, and short-term holdings.
