This fund typically allocates a minimum of 80% of its total net assets (including any capital obtained through borrowing for investment) to debt instruments classified as speculative-grade due to their lower credit ratings. These higher-yielding, higher-risk securities can also encompass unrated but comparable debt, or other income-producing securities that the portfolio managers determine possess favorable risk-adjusted return characteristics.
