This fund generally dedicates a significant portion—at least 80%—of its total assets (including any borrowed funds) to debt instruments with short or intermediate maturities. These typically encompass a variety of fixed-income securities, such as corporate bonds, notes, and government-issued instruments, including those from agencies. Furthermore, the portfolio has the discretion to allocate up to 35% of its net assets into higher-risk, higher-yielding bonds, which are commonly referred to as "junk bonds."
