It also develops products and drugs based on cells, tissues, and blood for medical applications; and produces and manufactures viral vectors and CAR-T cells. In addition, the company provides biobanking services, such as freezing sperm and storage of adipose tissue and the isolation of cells from the stored materials. The company was formerly known as VITA 34 AG and changed its name to FamiCord AG in February 2025. FamiCord AG was founded in 1997 and is based in Leipzig, Germany.
