Celyad Oncology SA is a clinical-stage biopharmaceutical entity dedicated to the discovery and advancement of chimeric antigen receptor T (CAR-T) cell therapies for cancer treatment. Its prominent clinical programs include CYAD-101, an allogeneic CAR-T candidate in a Phase 1b trial for metastatic colorectal cancer. Another significant asset is CYAD-211, an allogeneic CAR-T therapy based on short hairpin RNA (shRNA), currently undergoing Phase 1 evaluation for relapsed/refractory multiple myeloma. Additionally, CYAD-02, an autologous CAR-T candidate, is in Phase 1 trials for individuals with relapsed or refractory acute myeloid leukemia and myelodysplastic syndromes. Within its preclinical pipeline, the company is developing CYAD-203, a non-gene-edited allogeneic CAR-T candidate engineered to co-express the cytokine interleukin-18 with natural killer group 2D ligands (NKG2D) for potential application in solid tumors. Founded in 2004 as Celyad SA, the company rebranded to Celyad Oncology SA in June 2020 and is headquartered in Mont-Saint-Guibert, Belgium.
