Its diverse product portfolio also features copper tubing and tanks for applications spanning water supply, heat exchange, refrigeration, and fuel systems, as well as aluminum coils and other aluminum-based goods, plastic tubing, industrial gases like freon, and essential electronic materials for semiconductor manufacturing. Furthermore, ALCONIX supplies copper and copper-base alloys, finished aluminum and office products, copper bands and plates, aluminum and copper scraps, and various stainless steel and plastic items. The company actively manufactures and markets specialized chemical compounds and materials, which include copper and nickel anodes/cathodes, copper sulfate, oxygen-free copper wire, bus bars, nickel sulfates and acetates, nickel bromide, potassium cyanide, boric acid, sulfamates, and sulfamic acid compounds. Its wide-ranging offerings are further enhanced by welding materials, non-destructive inspection tools, printing and marking equipment, carbon and powder metallurgy products, and electrical components. ALCONIX additionally provides semiconductor packaging machinery, prototype automotive parts, industrial robots, precision machining tools and their components, electromagnetic valve and heater core parts, other machined metal components, housing construction materials, solar power generation systems, and a variety of brackets. Established in 1981, the company was formerly known as Nissho Iwai Alconix Corporation, adopting its current name, ALCONIX Corporation, in April 2005.
