Bavarian Nordic A/S is a biopharmaceutical company primarily focused on the development, production, and commercialization of life-saving vaccines. Its current portfolio of commercialized vaccines includes non-replicating options for smallpox and monkeypox (marketed as IMVAMUNE, IMVANEX, and JYNNEOS), a human rabies vaccine (Rabipur/RabAvert), an encephalitis vaccine targeting tick-borne varieties (Encepur), and an Ebola vaccine called MVABEA. Beyond its established products, Bavarian Nordic boasts a robust pipeline of investigational vaccines. These include MVA-BN (freeze-dried), which has concluded Phase III trials for smallpox treatment; MVA-BN RSV, currently in Phase III development for respiratory syncytial virus; ABNCoV2, having completed Phase II studies for SARS-CoV-2; and TAEK-VAC, undergoing Phase I/II trials for advanced HER2 and brachyury-expressing cancers.
