EVSB aims to boost income while protecting capital by investing in investment grade, short-term securities. The fund primarily focuses on the banking sector. Most of the securities the fund holds are US dollar-denominated and up to a quarter of its total assets can be invested in foreign debt securities. Additionally, EVSB has the flexibility to invest into below investment grade securities, but this is capped at 10%. The fund targets a portfolio duration of one year or less, which might extend in certain high volatility periods.
