Genfit S.A. functions as a late-stage biopharmaceutical enterprise, primarily dedicated to the identification and advancement of novel therapeutic drugs and diagnostic technologies for metabolic and liver-related conditions. A prominent candidate in its pipeline is Elafibranor, currently in Phase III clinical trials for treating primary biliary cholangitis.
