Infinity Pharmaceuticals 

Infinity Pharmaceuticals, Inc. was a clinical-stage biopharmaceutical firm dedicated to pioneering novel cancer therapies. Its primary investigational drug, eganelisib (IPI-549), was an orally administered immuno-oncology agent. This compound functioned by inhibiting the phosphoinositide-3-kinase-gamma enzyme. At the time, eganelisib was undergoing Phase 2 clinical trials for metastatic triple-negative breast cancer and urothelial cancer, in addition to Phase 1/1b studies for various solid tumors. The company maintained a network of strategic alliances and collaborations. These included agreements with Intellikine, Inc. for PI3K delta/gamma targeting compounds; Verastem, Inc. regarding duvelisib development and commercialization; and PellePharm, Inc. for rights to its IPI-926 hedgehog inhibitor program, which was also a clinical-stage candidate. Further partnerships extended to F. Hoffmann-La Roche Ltd. and Bristol Myers Squibb Company. Founded in 1995, Infinity Pharmaceuticals was headquartered in Cambridge, Massachusetts. However, on September 29, 2023, Infinity Pharmaceuticals, Inc. and an affiliate initiated voluntary Chapter 11 reorganization proceedings in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware. This petition subsequently evolved into an approved Chapter 11 liquidation plan on March 7, 2024.
