This fund aims primarily for the long-term growth of your investment, with the generation of current income as a secondary objective. It achieves this mainly by allocating capital to equity securities. Typically, the fund commits at least 80% of its total assets to stock investments in substantial companies. These investments can include common shares, as well as bonds and preferred shares that are convertible into common stock. For the purpose of this allocation policy, "assets" refers to the fund's net assets combined with any capital borrowed for investment activities. Large companies are defined as those with market capitalizations similar to the companies included in the Russell 1000® Value Index at the time of purchase.
