Loomis Sayles Small Cap Value Fund Retail Class 

This fund's primary objective is to achieve substantial capital growth over the long term through investments in various equity securities. It typically dedicates a minimum of 80% of its total investable assets (including any funds acquired through borrowing) to small-capitalization companies. These holdings can take several forms, such as preferred stocks, warrants, securities convertible into common or preferred shares, and other equity-like interests. The portfolio manager defines small-cap firms as those possessing market valuations comparable to the companies represented in the Russell 2000® Index, which comprises 2,000 of the smallest publicly traded U.S. enterprises.
