Dividend increased to $0.09/share at a price of ~$2.95, which gives an annual yield of ~37%. Announced on September 23, 2026, for purchase before September 29, 2026, with a distribution around October 6. I was waiting for the dividend cuts to end before buying MSTE. Without being a psychic, it's possible the descent into hell is over—we'll see—but I'm giving it a chance.
ya this was a nice surprise!! I bought more to average down still long way to go but hopefully by end of year BTC and MSTE will go up

This should be the bottom of the distributions. Hopefully. As BTC rises, so will this fund given Mstr holdings. Not selling a single share. Load up.
not advice.. just sharing. was trying to wrap my head around the loss on this ETF.. so I asked Gemini to crunch some numbers.. here's the result: MSTE.TO (Harvest MicroStrategy Enhanced High Income)This fund is the most extreme example on the Toronto Stock Exchange of how a price chart can completely mask actual investment returns. Price-Only Performance: Down a devastating -89.43% over the past 12 months (plummeting from a 52-week high of $19.07 down to roughly $2.02). Total Return (With Dividends): Up +79.06% to +81.69% over the past 12 months, and +38.46% YTD. The Reality: This immense gap is a mechanical reality of its design. MicroStrategy (MSTR) moves violently because of its Bitcoin holdings, which allows MSTE.TO to sell options at astronomically high premiums. The fund paid out massive monthly distributions (with a trailing yield over 175%).Because every dividend payment strips cash directly out of the Net Asset Value (NAV) on the ex-dividend date, the share price fundamentally collapses. If you only look at the stock chart, it looks like a total wipeout. But if you actually held the fund and collected the payouts, you are up roughly 80% over the last year.
Try critical thinking for once instead of relying on AI trash. This is completely wrong if you look at actual charts that include distributions. It's down 79% over the past year with distributions included. It would have to have traded sideways while paying 80% to have an 80% return and we know that didn't happen.
thanks for taking the time to answer. do you mind sharing a link to those charts? I'd love to add it to my tools
I use Stock Analysis, it's both a website and app. You can choose to show just price movement or total return in the comparison charts.
it depends on if you are bullish or bearish on MSTR and BTC. I would not jump in for the dividends only imo
