NZX Limited is the operator of New Zealand's primary stock exchange. Its operations are organized into five distinct business units. The Capital Markets Origination division is dedicated to supporting both current and prospective companies listing on the exchange. The Secondary Markets segment manages the trading and post-trade processes for equities and derivatives, also acting as a central repository for securities. Additionally, it oversees market functions for organizations such as Fonterra Co-Operative Group, the Electricity Authority, and the Ministry for the Environment. Data & Insights delivers crucial market information for securities and derivatives, alongside providing analytical tools specifically for the dairy industry. The Funds Management segment offers a range of retirement savings products, including superannuation and KiwiSaver, as well as managing Smartshares exchange-traded funds. Finally, the Wealth Technologies division provides administrative and safekeeping services for investment funds, notably through its NZX Wealth Technologies platform, which empowers financial advisors and brokers to effectively manage their clients' portfolios.
