State Street Institutional Small-Cap Equity Fund 

This fund aims to fulfill its investment objective by dedicating a minimum of 80% of its total assets (inclusive of any capital acquired through borrowing for investment purposes) to equity holdings of smaller capitalization companies under typical market conditions. These holdings primarily consist of common and preferred shares. For the fund's purposes, a small-cap company is characterized by a market valuation that, at the point of initial acquisition, lies between the market capitalization of the smallest company in the Russell 2000® Index and the higher of either the market capitalization of the largest company in the Russell 2000® Index or $3.0 billion.
