BlackRock Mid-Cap Growth Equity Portfolio Class K 

This fund allocates a minimum of 80% of its net assets to stocks issued by U.S. companies with medium market capitalizations. The investment team seeks out businesses that they believe offer considerable potential for stronger-than-average earnings expansion. The fund's advisor typically defines these mid-cap entities as those whose market values, at the time of initial purchase, are comparable to the companies found within the Russell Midcap® Growth Index. While the portfolio primarily comprises common stock, it also has the flexibility to include preferred stock, convertible securities, and other types of equity instruments.
