The fund's primary objective is to generate strong total returns through investments in debt obligations issued by the U.S. government and its agencies, all of which must have maturities of five years or less from their settlement date. The portfolio exclusively targets instruments backed by the U.S. government or its agencies, ensuring high credit quality. Under a non-fundamental policy, a minimum of 80% of its net assets will be allocated to government securities also meeting this five-year maturity constraint. A strict overall policy dictates that no individual investment's maturity will exceed five years from its settlement date.
