This fund seeks to generate both current income and significant long-term capital appreciation for its investors. It follows an actively managed approach, strategically investing in a diversified mix of stocks, bonds, and money market instruments, with a focus on capitalizing on perceived mispricings in the market. The portfolio typically allocates a substantial portion, ranging from 45% to 70% of its total holdings, to equities and related securities. Under normal market conditions, 30% to 55% of the fund's entire asset base is committed to fixed-income investments. Furthermore, the fund may dedicate up to 15% of its total assets to equity-linked securities issued by smaller companies.
