The fund's objective is to generate income by investing in dividend-paying companies, encompassing both U.S. and international equities. It prioritizes selections with a track record of superior dividend yield, a consistent upward trend in their payouts, and robust earnings expansion. The portfolio is primarily composed of common shares from businesses representing a broad cross-section of the global economy and spanning a diverse range of market capitalizations, including large, mid, and small-cap firms. Generally, 30% to 50% of the fund's net assets will be allocated to non-U.S. issuers, with a commitment to maintaining no less than 30% in international securities under normal market conditions.
