This fund aims to generate significant capital growth over an extended period. It commits at least 80% of its overall assets, including any borrowed capital used for investment purposes, to the stock holdings of smaller companies. Management defines these "small-cap" companies as those with a market capitalization aligning with the range of the Russell 2000 Index at the moment of initial purchase. While its equity investments primarily consist of common stocks, the fund also has the discretion to allocate capital to other equity-related instruments like exchange-traded funds (ETFs), real estate investment trusts (REITs), royalty trusts, and master limited partnerships (MLPs).
