Baron Emerging Markets Fund Institutional Shares 

The fund's primary objective is to achieve long-term capital growth. It typically commits approximately 80% of its net assets to equity investments, specifically common stocks of growth-oriented companies. These companies must either be based in, have their main offices in, or conduct their principal business activities or trading markets within developing nations. A "developing nation" is understood to include any country found in the MSCI Emerging Markets (EM) Index, as well as other countries the Adviser identifies as developing. This identification can be based on classifications from the International Monetary Fund (IMF) or on country characteristics that resemble those of the nations within the EM index.
