The Connecticut Light and Power Company (CL&P) operates as a regulated electric utility. As of December 31, 2021, CL&P served roughly 1.27 million retail customers across 149 cities and towns throughout Connecticut, covering an expansive service area of 4,400 square miles. The company, which was established in 1927, maintains its corporate headquarters in Berlin, Connecticut, and is a subsidiary of Eversource Energy.
